Skydance Paramount Will Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Update

Paramount Skydance will initiate large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs as part of a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

The layoffs follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August valued at $8.4bn.

More global layoffs are likely, with Paramount Skydance intending to reveal complete information via its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.

Prior news stated the firm aimed to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.

As of December 2024, the organization had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.

The company did not immediately respond regarding the report.
