Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented California Coast

A helicopter hovering above a well-attended coastal beach suddenly commenced twirling wildly, finally losing altitude and crashing into a row of palm groves as onlookers looked on.

Videos uploaded online depict the helicopter beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then plunging near the perimeter of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palms and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.

First Aid Details

Emergency responders stated five persons were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the accident on the weekend.

Three individuals on the street were hurt. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.

The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
